2018 All Stars

Tournament season has ended in Naples. We are very proud of all the girls and coaches who participated on our three tournament teams this season.

8-9-10 (SunDevils)

Our youngest All Star team played a best of 3 series with Golden Gate for the District Championship. While our girls gave their all, Golden Gate prevailed and went on to represent our Distict at the Sectional tournament. Our coaches and girls were disappointed but vow to come back to win it next year.

Seniors (Braves)

While our team was made up of 13 and 14 year old players, our All Stars (Braves) were required by Little League International to play in the Senior division tournament which includes girls up to age 16. Our team was a mix of the finest from Naples and Golden Gate which meant their first tournament was at the Sections level. The team, which is very talented, unfortunately fell to the much older Ft. Myers team in their first game which ultimately determined the champion for the tournament. If these girls stay together, future tournament success looks very bright.

Little League (10-12) (Rockets)

The Rockets were unopposed for Districts therefore played their first tournament games this past weekend for the Section 6 championship at Lehigh Little League. The Rockets swept the competition in two games; victorious over Cape Coral (Section 9 Champs) by a score of 5-1 and Lehigh (Section 18 champs) 6-1. Rockets prevailed behind excellent pitching, solid defense and timely hitting. The Rockets advance to the State tournament to be played at Sam Fleishman fields in Ft. Myers against 6 other Section Champs. In the State tournament at Ft. Myers, the Rockets cruised past Sebastian River, 11-0. In their second game, they fell one run short in extra inning to Windermere. Windermere was then defeated by South Tampa in the finals.

Recognizing Sponsors and Volunteers

With the conclusion of our regular season, we would like to thank our sponsors and volunteers for making it all possible. Without either, there is no season. We hope there are parents considering a role with our Board next year. The more active parents we have on the Board, the better the season. It's really that simple. None of us on the Board "have the time", we simply make the time. Elections will be in September and notice will be sent with the date a few weeks in advance.

Sponsors are the life blood of any non profit League. We believe we are the best value in town when it comes to recreational sports and that's because of sponsorships. We hope that whenever the opportunity arises that you support our sponsors throughout the year. Below is the list of our sponsors with links to their sites so you may learn more about them:

Dick's Sporting Goods                 Shea's Landsdown Street

Dr. Bryan Hanypsiak                    Ft. Myers Miracles

Il Primo Pizza                               Prestige Insurance

Sight N Sound                              Stephanie's Pest Control

We would also like to recognize the City of Naples and Collier County. They are both very supportive of our league. They work hard to keep the fields open, available and ready to play. We are deeply grateful to them both.
